Part of the plan...

Misc...

Photoshopped lowered pic

Cut a whole in the sheet metal near the step on the stepside. Looks very clean!

Mirrors and Gauges

Found these mirrors on Craigs. Again, new mirrors were expensive $120 and these had more character and the nice patina that I am using to accent on the truck. Very happy with results.

The original truck ad a horizontal speedo, but I prefer the dial styles. Got the bezel, speedo, and oil and water gauges separately on ebay. Have a matching 3.5"tach that will be mounted to the steering column.

Door Art?? Maybe...

I like vintage door art, and thought of doing some designs. Dont know if they will make the truck, but it could be fun.

Lights and Bumper

Added some 4" LED lights

Found these Model A bumpers on ebay and thought it would make a unique rear bumper. A new remanufactured bumper was $200ish. They have a nice patina rusty warn look. Happy with results.

Used a product called Rock-it by SEM. I liked it because it was an inexpensive catalyzed spray-in product. I paid about $100 for the kit including shipping. It came with an application gun. I sprayed it in my driveway.

Deciding on color was a big deal. I have always liked flat paint on hotrods, but it was not until I saw these vehicles that I decided it was right for the f100. The top pic was one I made after deciding on color. The paint is HOT ROD FLATZ purchased online. I did the primer and paint in my garage.

After removing the engine, and some thorough cleaning, surface rust was found, cleaned more, etched and covered with "rust bullet". Original bed was also removed due to rust and replaced with a stepside bed I found on craigslist for $200.

Purchased truck on craigslist for a couple hundred bucks. Luckily the person I bought it from lived in my subdivision.
