Window Seals

This past month I have not worked on the truck as much as I would have liked. Today however, despite the rain, I got the door components all put back together. I replaced all the weatherstriping around the vent and side windows and reinstalled the internals. I was very pleased at how smoothly the window operated. The new vent window seals were a bit of a challenge. Used a international Scout armrest that I had laying around...fit great. I am very pleased as to how everything came out. I wish the window weatherstriping was not 160bucks through LMC seems very overpriced....but cheaper than anywhere else I found it.

The next thing I will be working on is obtaining a windshield and having it installed. The first one I purchased was cracked during install. Luckily they are only 35bucks at the scrap yard.
I also have the FE block torn down and will be taking it to the machine shop.

The list is getting shorter, but still plenty to do.

Hoping windows will be done next month.
2 inches lower in the front....lookin good
Got rid of the OEM chains for the tailgate in favor a cleaner solution. Latches on the inside of the tailgate.
Stack brackets finished
Synthetic decking attached with carriage bolts. Got the decking 1/2 price a home depot clearance and the bolts/washers/nuts were $12. Saved a lot of money here.

Alittle Photoshopping

Photoshop helped me lower the truck and add the missing windows. I don't know if I will lower it this much or tint the windows that much, but it helps complete the look for now. What do you think? Comments are appreciated.

60 degrees today!

Got the truck pulled all the way out into the daylight today. It was a beautiful 60 degrees today.

Interior is getting buttoned up...just needs carpet, seat, and headliner and it will look done.

A few little things

Artwork Compete
After about a week of work I finally completed my door art project. I am really pleased with it. Now I just have to decide if it really belongs on the truck. I may have one printed up and see if I can sell them on ebay to some rat rodders.

Today was one of the first warm days of the new year, and I pushed the truck a whole foot forward into the sunshine.

Wood Wheel
Found this steering wheel under the seat of the truck when I bought it. I think it is out of a 60's mustang, and it looks great in the truck.

January's Accomplishments Cont.

January in Idaho is a cold month (one of several), and with a un-insulated garage progress was slow. I was able to get the rear window installed. I have never installed window tint, but figured it would be easy if done before the window was installed. I found that it was very easy, and plan on doing the side windows the same way.

I have been able to gain a surplus of parts for when the temperature improves.
